DIY: High Wasted Jean Shorts!

OK! so typically you can go anywhere and find a stinkin' tutorial on how to make High Wasted Shorts. But I find enjoyment through writing, as well as tutorials, thus I'm creating my own tutorial!
Alas, I do NOT have pictures of them being cut, but I have before/after pictures as well as directions.
As well as I bought another pair of pants to turn into the high wasted shorts that I dare say I have an obsession with.

Lets Begin!

The before:

This was taken by my iPhone, Simply because I had just bought them, and I was packing
To transfer from my Aunt's house, to my house.

All I did to get my hands on these bad boys you see above, I went to my local GoodWill and
Went to my size and they had about 3 to 4 pairs of these jeans in my size, Hallelujah!
I felt like an odd weirdo as I went to the front of the store where these jeans were held,
As a teenager going through and picking out what people call "Mom Jeans."

It typically felt horrible and awkward as I tried these on, My dressing room was right in front of where the line was, and there was a bunch of people waiting for a room (both genders.)
Whenever I would open the door to show some friends and my family, and ask opinions, Literally everyone in line would turn to look at what I was trying on. I'm sure by now they all think theres a weird teenage girl who has HORRID sense of style. But alas, it was a trick!

These jeans were I believe 5 dollars.

Step One:

Now that you have your horrible "Mom Jeans" it's time to begin!
The tools of inspiration to make "Majestic" into an article of clothing:

"Mom Jeans."
Sharpie.
Scissors.
Measuring tape.
Music to make the soul happy while you murder a pair of ugly jeans.

Step Two:
You take the jeans, and you put them on.
At this point, take your marker or sharpie, And mark on your leg, how short you want them.
Mark them on both legs.

Step Three:
Take your measuring tape, and measure both marks to make sure they are evenly marked.
I marked them using the top of the tape at my belt loops, to the marking.

If it's unevenly marked, you might want to fix it. But hey it's your pair of high wasted shorts, so it's all good!
  Take off the jeans.

Step Four:
You want to lay the jeans onto a flat surface such as a table.
Have it so the marking of jeans are laying on the edge of the table.
And now it is time to begin this operation.
Take your scissors (make sure they aren't horribly dull)
And cut the jeans following the line as your guide. And that is it!

Step Five:
This is probably the best step.
Try on your newly transformed shorts, shorten them if desired.
I cut mine to leave 6 inches (from the belt loops.) Top to bottom.

I've decided I wasn't content with the jeans left like this.
So I went to the material store known as "Joann Fabrics" on a hunt for 12mm Pyramid studs.
They didn't have it. They did have Mini Brads. I figured I can just order the pyramid studs online for 3 dollars from Ebay. But I decided I would give the Mini's a go.

If you haven't studded anything before it's easy! you take the stud, and poke the prongs through the material, and bend the prongs as much as you can against the material so it can't come undone or poke anything, and you're pretty much good to go!
I haven't finished this project yet, but I plan to post pictures of the finished product!
But till then, here's how it is in it's current state of rebirth...? I'll go with that.

But alas, you have reached the end of this post.
I'll talk to you all again real soon!

Who I Am?

Shall I formerly introduce myself? I think I shall.
Hello, My name is Zizi, Nice to meet you. *shakes hand.*
I Can also be know on YouTube as "TheZiziDreams." which you can find my video here!
in which i show what i wore on my journey from my home, to the new house! Winter Road Trip Wardrobe!
Anywho I guess I shall begin!
I Just moved within the last week from central Florida to Maine. In the middle of February-march? I know, I know I'm crazy-out of my mind for moving during the middle-end of winter. But it was my family's decision, so alas, I moved.
We bought a big/decent sized house. But it needs plenty to work on. My own bedroom looks as if it's come fresh from a homeless camp from the 70's. It has old dirty carpet, the ceiling is caving in, in some parts. and it has wood paneling on all the walls.
 Not at all very attractive.

When we first arrived we learned the owner of this room before me, was a misbehaved teenage boy, who I guess was a fan of doodling horribly dull things on walls and tried to be creative by drawing MCR (My chemical romance) on the wall. He is now in the army.

But I feel as if the potential to make this room come alive with personality, oh the potential is there 100%
I'm happy I have gained this room. I don't feel like I would be content with another room. who wouldn't after getting a bedroom with a loft?
Mostly because I couldn't decide how I would decorate my room. I had thought of two ideas:
The First:
I would have the walls and ceiling painted tan, with white accents, and pop of color on furniture. Just because tan walls look marvelous with white and pop of color accents everywhere.
The Second Idea: I had gone to a store in New York, Called "Yellow Rat Bastard." And I liked the vibe I got from the store. So for a long while I wanted my room to have bright walls. For instance, One wall Bright Pink, Another bright blue. One wall bright green, another bright yellow. and I wanted to have graffiti on the walls, as well as wanting to cover the walls with crazy art I find.
But I soon realized if I did in fact have my room painted and decorated like that, it would be very overwhelming for the human eye to look at everyday, especially considering I spend most of my time inside of my bedroom.
The Solution.
The perfect solution would be to have my first floor how I described my first idea, tan walls with white/ colorful accents everywhere. And my loft would be decorated how my Second idea is described, Bright, graffiti, Art. The room where my creative mind can wander and explore new places.

But until then, I'm staying in the guest bedroom, which I most definitely have pictures of.

I feel as if this bedroom I'm currently staying in should be in some kind of "vintage" or "retro" feeling type catalog,
I am certainly in love with the floor in the bedroom, how its scuffed and shows some wear, as well as it being as dark as it is. I feel like if any room will be perfect for fashion/photography/video use, this will be the room to display.

Anywho, I guess I shall end this thought process and opinion train of mine for the day.

I hope all who reads this is well, and enjoys reading my journeys.
Talk to you all once again real soon!
